Alyona Bondarenko, usually a threat in doubles, proved she is a solid singles player as well on Thursday by easily dismissing Maria Sharapova in Warsaw. Anne Keothavong surendered just a game in reaching the semifinals, while Daniela Hantuchova won the only 3-setter of the day. Little-known Alexandra Dulgheru advanced to the semis with a 2 set win.
