Roger Federer looked great in advancing to the Round of 16 with a win over Robin Soderling. Federer was on fire in the 1st, winning it in 20 minutes, but the Swiss cooled down a bit and snatched the second and the match. Andy Murray, who is now the world number 3, had trouble in his win, while Ivan Ljubicic looked stellar in an upset of Jo Wilfried Tsonga. Tommy Robredo came back from a set down to take out Mardy Fish and Fernando Verdasco dominated Juan Carlos Ferrero in his win. Estoril finalist, Jamaes Blake, advanced along with Nikolay Davydenko. A dissapointing last few weeks for the Williams family continued when Venus Williams was upset in her opening match by Alisa Kleybanova. Carolina Wozniacki, Jelena Jankovic, Francesca Schiavone and Amelie Mauresmo all advanced as well.
