Indian Wells Results


Roger Federer needed 3 sets to defeat Fernando Gonzalez while Andy Murray needed just 1 and a half to take out Spaniard Tommy Robredo. Federer will next play another Fernando, this time Verdasco, who defeted Phillip Kohlschreiber. Ivan Ljubicic defeated Igor Andreev in 3 grueling sets. Ljubicic won the 3rd set tie-break just seconds ago. Also within the last minute, Novak Djokovic defeated Stanislas Wawrinka in 2 tie-break sets, The first tie-break ended 9-7, while the second went long as well, Djokovic emerging victorious 8-6. Andy Roddick is set to play David Ferrer next. Following that will be Dinara Safina's match with Victoria Azarenka, which will be proceeded by the world number 1, Rafael Nadal, who will take on Argentine David Nalbandian, one of the few players with a winning record against the Spaniard. Just one women's match has been completed so far, as Vera Zvonareva handedly defeated Carolina Wozniacki in straights. Zvonareva now adavances to the semifinals, where she will be joined by either Safina or Azarenka, along with the top flight women that play tomorrow.
