Aussie Teen Sensation Tomic fined, suspended

Australian 16 year old Bernard Tomic has been fined by the ITF for an iuncident in Perth in December. The world number 382 walked off the court in the middle of the match, as is paying the price for what the ITF described as "major offences of aggravated behavior." Tomic can't compete in any ITF tournaments until April 6th. Tomic's 1,560$ fine would have been smaller had the ITF not taken into account the Aussie's father's actions. John Tomic forced his son off the court in protest after arguing that Tomic's opponent, Marinko Matosevic, was foot-faulting continuously and getting away with it. Although Tomic is Australia's brightest prospect, Tennis Australia vowed to stand by any sort of punishment the ITF came up with. Tomic reached the second round of the Australian Open in January.
