Nicholas Almagro turned the tides and avenged his Australian Open loss to Gael Monfils by defeating him in their Acapulco finals. Almagro defeated the Frenchman in straight sets. In Delray Beach, Mardy fish defeated Evgeny Korolev, also in straight sets to break a 17 year curse at the Delray Beach International Tennis Champonships by becoming the first number 1 seed to win the tournament. Rain delayed the match once, but that didn't stop the veteran Fish from putting the 21 year old Moscovite in his place. The Bryan Brothers won the doubles by defeating the Brazilian team of Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa in the finals.
