Ferrero, Hewitt and Jankovic Triumph



Sunday was a day of firsts for the WTA and ATP's elite. Juan Carlos Ferrero won his 1st title in 5 years in Casablanca on Sunday, while Lleyton Hewitt won his 1st tournament in 2 years, and Jelena Jankovic won her 1st title of 2009. Ferrero, a former number 1 and 2003 French Open Champion, beat Florent Serra in 2 tight sets. Hewitt dominated the first set with crowd favorite Wayne Odesnik in Houston, and went on to win in straights. Jelena Jankovic battled through yet another nail-biting 3-setter in Marbella, but the Serb fought off a push from Carla Suarez Navarro.
