Wimbledon Results- Day 6

With a tad bit of help from Jelena Jankovic's "woman problems", Melanie Oudin pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament, a 3 set win over the 6th seeded Serb. Oudin, a 17 year old out of Marietta, Georgia, drpped th 1st set but recovered and won the 3rd 6-2. Sabine Lisicki followed Oudin with another shocking upset, a straight set win over French Open champ, Svetlana Kuznetsova. Andy Murry impressed in front of his home crowd with a routine win over Viktor Troicki. Andy Roddick moved on to the Round of 16 with a 4 set victory over Jurgen Melzer, and Gilles Simon cruised over Victor Hanescu. Juan Carlos Ferrero upset Ferando Gonzalez in 5 sets, and Tommy Haas did the same over Marin Cilic in a match carried over from Friday because of darkness. Haas prevailed 10-8 in the deciding set. Tomas Berych dominated Nikolay Davydenko and Radek Stepanek won a tough 5 setter over David Ferrer. Lleyton Hewitt, Igor Andreev and Stanislas Wawrinka all reached the 2nd week. Venus Williams continued her Wimbledon dominance by winning her 17th straight match at the All England Club. Caroline Wozniacki, Agnieszka Radwanska and Ana Ivanovic all won in 2 sets. Dinara Safina achieved her career best result at Wimby by defeating Kristen Flipkens. Safina will next face 2006 champion, Amelie Mauresmo, who beat Flavia Pennetta.
