Rafa's Wimbledon Participation is in Doubt

Rafael Nadal has been dealing with knee tendinitis his whole tennis career, but recently, the Spaniard's injury became unbearable, part of the reason for Nadal's shocking loss at Roland Garros. Nadal has been resting the past few weeks and has said he hopes to play in this year's Wimbledon Championships, starting on Monday. To test his knees, Rafa played in the Hurlingham exhibitions, an annual warm-up to the year's 3rd Grand Slam. Rafa's first opponent was Lleyton Hewitt, and the Aussie blew the world number 1 off the court. Nadal looked a few steps slower than usual and his knees, untaped, were clearly bothering him in the 6-4, 6-3 loss. When asked about Nadal's status as of now, Toni Nadal, Rafael's coach and uncle, responded, "If it's me, I'm (flying) to Mallorca." Nadal will decide whether he will play in Wimbledon, where he is the defnding champion, after his next exhibition against Stanislas Wawrinka tomorrow. Let's face it, tennis is not the same without Rafa. All the best to the 6 time major champion.
