It's Official: Henin is Coming Back

Justine Henin announced today, Tuesday, that she will return to the WTA Tour after almost a year and a half off. Henin left the tour as the number one player in the world, and cited a lack of passion as her reason for the abrupt retirement. The Belgian was all smiles as she told the tennis world of her return, which was much anticipated. “The last 15 months I’ve been able to recharge the batteries, emotionally as well,” Henin said. When asked if Kim Clijsters' miraculous comeback played a part in Justine's decision, she responded “Subconsciously, it might have had an impact, but it certainly was not the most important reason.” Henin is a seven time Grand Slam champion and was ranked number one for all but seven weeks from November 13th, 2006 until her retirement.
