For the 2nd time in a row, Roger Federer lost to Novak Djokovic after leading by a set. Federer had 3-1 leads in both the 2nd and 3rd set, but the Swiss lost both of those sets 6-3. Djokovic jumped for joy after the match and will attempt to defend his Rome title against the King of Clay, Rafael Nadal, who trounced Fernando Gonzalez. Nadal will be going fo his 4th title in Rome, while Djokovic will be trying to keep his number 3 ranking. At the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, Dinara Safina fought back after trailing by a set to defeat Italian Flavia Pennetta. Svetlana Kuznetsova overwhelmed her Fed Cup teammate, Elena Dementieva, to reach the finals. World number 1 Safina will play the former U.S. Open champ, Kuznetsova, in the final on Sunday.
