The semifinals in Madrid are set, as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Juan Martin del Potro all triumphed in men's action. The semifinals for the women will include Dinara Safina, Amelie Mauresmo, Patty Schnyder and Caroline Wozniacki advanced. Federer split the first 2 sets with Roddick, but steamrolled the American in the third. Del Po upset world number 3 Andy Murray in straight sets, while Nadal and Djokovic won routinely. Safina rolled, and Patty Schnyder pulled of an incredible victory over Jelena Jankovic. Wozniacki dominated and Mauresmo started slow, but picked up her rhythm and had no trouble in the 2nd and 3rd sets.
