One question one everyone's mind is whether Rafa Nadal could take Madrid after his last 3 weeks of grueling, yet staggering tenns. The world number 1 has won 3 titles in the last 4 weeks, taking his 5th Monte Carlo, 5th Barcelona and 4th Rome title. World number 3, Novak Djokovic, who will lose that positon to Andy Murray in just a few days, was drawn to Nadal's side, disallowing a Djoko-Rafa final, which took place in Rome and Monte Carlo. Andy Murray was drawn to Roger Federer's half. Although the Swiss has lost to Murray their last 4 meetings, it might be a postivie drawing, considering Fed lost to Djokovic in Rome and Miami. Federer could meet Andy Roddick in the quarterfinals and world number 5, Juan Martin del Potro coulf face Murray in the final 8. Once again, Fernando Verdasco was drawn to Nadal's quarter, and Gilles Simon, who has not been impressive in the past few months, was selected to Djokovic's section. Nikolay Davydenko and Jo Wilfried Tsonga both have very good chances of making the quarterfinals. In Daydenko's way if Roddick, an in Tsonga's way is Simon, both of whom are very mediocre clay courters. The 1st round matchup of Tomas Berdych and Mario Ancic could be an interesting one, so don't go away, because another exciting week of tennis is ahead of us.
