Clijsters Out a Possible 6 Weeks with Torn Foot Ligament

Much to the dismay of tennis fans around the world, Kim Clijsters could possibly be forced to miss next month's French open due to a torn ligament in her left foot, an injury she sustained in her country's Davis Cup match this past Saturday.

Her doctors have told her she could be out for up to 6 weeks, and if it takes that long the Belgian could be forced to miss the year's 2nd slam in Paris, and could set her preparation back for Wimbledon in June. Clijsters told the press she "heals reasonably fast" and will be on crutches for the next few days. Tests showed liquid built up in her foot and severe bruising, and it is still unclear when she will be able to resume her complete training again.

Heal quick, Kimmie! We don't want you missing Roland Garros!
