Indian Wells Results: Djokovic and Dementieva Fall, Wozzi, Rafa and Murray Stay Alive

It seems like for once, the pressure that Andy Murray has had to deal with his entire career has lightened a bit, and consequently the Scot is playing some of his best tennis at Indian Wells this week. His 4th round opponent, Nicolas Almagro, retired down 6-4, 1-0, giving the world number 4 a spot in the final 8. Murray's quarterfinal opponent will be Robin Soderling, also very much under-the-radar, a 6-3, 6-4 winner over 9th seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The second quarterfinal on the top half will feature Andy Roddick, who advanced with a straight set win against Jurgen Melzer and Tommy Robredo, who defeated Marcos Baghdatis 6-4 in the third.

Agnieszka Radwanska has often been cast in the shadow of her fellow WTA youngsters, but this past week the 5th seed has been showing why she's a consistent force in the top 10. She'll play Caroline Wozniacki in the semis after beating Elena Dementieva 6-4, 6-3. Wozniacki was on the court much longer, gritting past Jie Zheng 6-4, 4-6,6-1.

In the men's bottom half Tomas Berdych dominated Victor Troicki, earning a 6-1, 6-3 win. The Czech will take on Rafael Nadal, who had a more difficult time than expected with the giant John Isner. The American tied the match at 1 set a piece after winning the second 6-3, but once Nadal started to read his serves, it was all over, as the Spaniard took the decider 6-3. Novak Djokovic was stunned by Ivan Ljubicic 7-5, 6-3, and Juan Monaco beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez after dropping the opening set.
