We've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting....
And the day is finally here: Justine Henin's return to tennis.
It's a good thing I didn't hold my breathe, but regardless, I'm so excited to see Justine back in action. The last time we saw her was May 2008 when she announced her shocking retirement, and on January 4th, (tomorrow in the states, today in Australia) the former world number 1 will return to the WTA Tour at the Brisbane International, where she will open her campaign against former foe Nadia Petrova, who is the tournament's number 2 seed. Luckily for the Belgian, the two played an exhibition match in Cairo just a few weeks back, where Petrova got her ass thoroughly whooped.
Mama Clijsters is also competing in Brisbane.
Let's all pray for a clash of Belgians in the final. Boy, would that be heaven-sent?
