I don't understand why Nadal would play sports at all while he is battling knee tenditis. One might think that golf would not hurt the world's number two, but look at Tiger Woods. The torque exerted during his swing put the 14 time major champion on the shelf for almost a year with a torn ACL and fractured tibia.

What are you talking about? Tiger Woods? Rafael Nadal doesn't swing nearly as hard first of all, and secondly, he played for charity. What kind of reception would Nadal receive if he were to skip events like this? He is truly a model for athletes worldwide.

On the subject of his recovery, I think the 6-time major champion will be just as dominant in the future. One hiccup at Roland Garros, and people are jumping off the Nadal bandwagon. He only needs one U.S. Open to complete the career Grand Slam at 23!
