French tennis player Mathieu Montcourt was found dead Monday in the stairwell of his Paris apartment. The Frenchman was recently banned for betting on matches, and the cause of death has not yet been revealed. An autopsy will take place soon. Montcourt was ranked 119th, and he grew up playing with Rafael Nadal on the junior circuit. “This morning I woke up with one of the worst news anyone can receive,” announced Nadal on his website. “I heard about the death of our friend Mathieu Montcourt.
