The Russians carried there dominating performance from yesterday over to today as they won all 5 matches to knock out the Chinese. The Americans rallied to defeat the Argentines after Melanie Oudin last the first set of her singles match with the U.S. down 2-1. She came back dominating the next two sets over Betina Jozami. The U.S. then won the doubles to clinch. The Czechs defeated the Spaniards and the Italians crushed the French to round out World Group 1 play.
