Dreadful Dinara and Woeful Williams Fall in Beijing

I think it's time that Dinara Safina finally faces the cold, hard truth. She sucks. Well, that's a little harsh, but the "world number 1" sure has been stinking up the WTA tour ever since her 0 and 1 loss to Venus in the Wimbledon semis. Speaking of V, the older Williams sister has also had a pretty embarrasing summer. Both ladies lost their 2nd round matches on Monday in Beijing. Dinara lost to world number 226 Zhang Shuai 7-5, 7-6, the official worst loss ever by a number 1 ranked female, while Williams fell to Anstasia Pavlyuchenkova, whom the American lost to in Japan as well. “I just tried to play as simple as I can just into the court and just make her move,” said Pavlyuchenkova after her 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory. “And today I just tried to do the same thing.” Pretty damn bold for Pavly to try and move Venus and her giraffe legs around, but it seems to be working. Oh, and if Serena wins her 2nd round match tomorrow, she'll take over the number 1 ranking. I'm sure Dinara will sing hallelujah when that happens, so she can finally play relaxed tennis.
