Australian open Results- Day 7

Who would have thought that so many top seeds were points away from being ousted in the Round of 16 in one day. Some top seeds, like Dinara Safina, were just iches away from defeat, but pulled it out. Roger Federer, down 2 sets to love, came back to dominate the next 3, and won with girt, determiantion and fight, 3 characteristics he will need to get back to number 1. Novak Djokovic was leading the whole way through, but at times it looked like Marcos Baghdatis would even the match at 2 sets apiece. Those three played their way out of losing, with a little luck, but Jelena Jankovic suffered the real upset, losing to frenchwoman Marion Bartoli in a routine match for the former Wimbledon finalist. Je;ena Dokic gave the Aussie crowd something to cheer about, reaching her first Grand Slam quarterfinal in years, and coming back from a bout of depression.
