P. Kvitova d. V. Razzano 6-4, 6-2

Although she pulled out a victory, watching Dinara Safina play her match this morning, was ugly. It was hard to watch Safina win a match where it almost looked like she was celebrating by aiming every single one of her shots into the stands, which is a customary routine after a match is won. Safina knew she wasn't playing baseball, but it sure did look like she was swinging for the fences. 21 errors in the first 7 games. In other words, She gave away 3/4ths of game in the first 7 games. Although I predicted her to win the Australian Open, i am very reluctant to stick by that pick. On a lighter note, Sam Querrey play a fantastic match in dominating Nicholas Almagro today, so he looks like he could be a sure threat in Melbourne.
