In Paris on Wednesday, the remaining quarterfinal matches were played, and their was no shortage of drama, as Serena Williams and Svetlana Kuznetsova played an error and grunt filled 3 set match that was won by Kuzzie, 7-5 in the 3rd. The Russian will meet Samatha Stosur, who had no trouble dismissing 19 year old Sorana Cirstea. In gentleman's action, Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro both played stellar tennis to set up a semifinal clash. Federer battled Gael Monfils and the pro-French crowd in his straight set victory, while del Potro pulled out all the stops in a domination of Tommy Robredo. In the women's semifinals tomorrow, Stosur will meet Kuznetsova and Dinara Safina will take on Dominika Cibulkova.
