Roland Garros Results- Day 10

Roger Federer may have said yesterday that Nikolay Davydenko was a serious threat to reach the finals of the French Open, but Robin Soderling continued his improbable run by crushing the Russian in 3 sets to advance to the semifinals. Andy Murray, who had high hopes to perform better than his counterparts in the "big 4", went crashing out in 4 sets to Fernando Gonzalez. Gonzo bageled the Scot in the 3rd and reached his 2nd Grand Slam semi in the last 2 years. Dinara Safina came up against her 1st dangerous task of the tournament when she met Victoria Azarenka on Tuesday, but Safina overcame the Belarusian to win. Maria Sharapova should be happy with how far she has come at RG considering she has been off the tour for 10 months, but the Russian was ousted by Dominika Cibulkova, who conceded just 2 games in their quarterfinal matchup. The 5'3 Cibulkova was poised in her Grand Slam quarterfinal debut, and was 1 point away from double bageling the former world number 1.
