Gilles Simon may have been knocked out of the US Open in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2, to Rafael Nadal, but it's a win-win for the Frenchman, who'll be taking a flight back to Europe on Sunday to meet his newborn son, Timothy, born Thursday, with his longtime girlfriend.
Glad there's an upside to the Frenchman's loss. he had a great run and perhaps he can play some Federer-esque post-baby tennis.
